OMC is proud to provide the county’s first digital mammography unit to help in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Research shows that breast cancer will affect one in eight women in their lifetime, and is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women. The good news is that when detected early, successful treatment of breast cancer is nearly 100%.
Our advanced mammography technology captures images in seconds, and uses digital imaging to manipulate images to more clearly show breast density, lesions and other abnormalities. Digital mammography is effective in identifying tumors and abnormalities at an earlier stage, and aggressive tumors in younger women.
